At Stud
Beau is our first Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. After much research we found Cliff Koele and Coppershot Griffons. Cliff has been refining his Coppershot line for about forty years. One visit was all it took. We fell in love with this breed and we purchased our first Griff.
Beau achieved his NA Prize 1 of 112 points after his first season of pheasant hunting in May of 2019. In June of 2021 he ran UT. He achieved a Prize III 191 points due to a lackluster duck search. He is scheduled to run that test again in September and we have high expectations for him finishing well after his third hunting season.
This Wirehaired Pointing Griffon cut his teeth on the public land roosters of Northwest IA. He loves to cover lots of ground, yet he hunts close when it is required on running birds, he has learned the difference. In the field he is focused on the business of pinning roosters for the gunner and retrieving them for the game bag. He loves to retrieve and will happily join me in the duck boat scanning the sky for mallards.
He is one of the smartest dogs with which I have had the pleasure of working. He lives to please and loves to work. He has 46 roosters to his credit during the 2020 season.
He has been DNA tested with NAVHDA and AKC
He has been tested Hips, Elbows, Thyroid and Eyes and has a Canine Health Certificate on file with OFA.
